Happy New Year of the Rooster!
Chinese New Year is nearly upon us and in Hong Kong red is the colour of the season. Bright and colourful it's a great antidote to the cold, grey winter days. (Although this year the weather has been glorious, no extra pep needed).
So in preparation for the coming year of the Rooster celebrations I thought I'd share a round up of some shopping ideas that will add a splash of the rouge to your closet.
Love this modern red sweater from Finery London, the sleeve shape is so now and the cotton rib construction will take it into Spring (and summer if you live in cooler climes).

And of course there is always a little red necklace to add a pop of colour to your outfit with out going the whole red hog!
This red shirt from J. Crew would be a great all year round basic, good for work or play.
If solid red is a bit over powering then this delicate dress printed with graceful cranes has a wonderful Eastern aesthetic.
And of course, happily, all these lovely red things can be recycled for Valentines day, just around the corner ;)
