About Carolyn Waweru
Hello! Thank you for visiting Carolyn Waweru Jewellery.
Here's a little bit about me and where I'm at. I moved to Hong Kong from the UK in 2001 to work as a knitwear designer here. I love making things and don't really stop! I often have 2 or 3 projects on the go, clothes for myself, a felt mobile commission, a bit of knitting, or of course a new jewellery design.
I started my handmade jewellery business when I wore a scarf necklace that was much admired and thought that others would like to wear it, I've expanded into a range of ribbon jewellery in beautiful colours and have been successfully selling at handmade markets here in H.K. for several years.
It's been so fun to have an outlet for my creativity other than making things for myself or gifts for friends and family. I can really start to make things for the pure joy of being creative and rarely make 2 pieces exactly the same.
